Fontan's house ( 4 & 6
pers) / Arza Mendi (staying lodging « caractère » 21 pers )
In the extreme south of the
department of Haute-Garonne, close to Spain,
here the country of the "Pyrenees Luchonnaises". Jurvielle, typically
mountain
village (alt: 1280 m) are marvelously located on the top of the valley
of Larboust at 11 km of Luchon and 3 km of the ski resort of Peyragudes.
A southern exposure full ensures a maximum sunning and calms absolute.
With the heart of the village is our two houses, the Fontan House and
the lodging of stay Arza Mendi.
The rural Fontan House and its two lodgings (3 ears NN) are restored
primarily in
the respect of materials of origin. The house is gone back to 1873 as
the pediment of the door indicates it.
Combining comfort and user-friendliness, an excellent quality of lodging
within a privileged framework is offered to you.

The
Lodging of Stay "character" Arza Mendi is the result of the
restoration of a
barn-cattle shed juxtaposed at the traditional dwelling house of
the Pyrenees. The
whole of constructions forms a court, model taken again very often
through many villages of the valley of Larboust.
This lodging of character is a superposition of constructions or
the existing frame
and the extensions distinguish various spaces and are built
differently. The unit develops in a set of simple volumes which
manufactures contrasted places, more or less intimate and
protected.
The concern of preserving the dwelling of origin contrasts with
the rebuilt barns whose treatment is more contemporary and
minimalist, the unit marrying wood, the stone, steel, the walls
with lime, the hot colors...
Space was conceived in order to make you pass the most pleasant
stay that it is in a building classified Caractère. |
